M.J. Hall & Company of Alaska has named Jessica Barker (pictured) as its newest vice president and general manager of the regional operation.
Prior to her promotion, Barker was serving M.J. Hall & Company of Alaska as a broker for five years. She brings 26 years of industry experience to her new role, with a career which spans agency, managing general agent, and underwriting work.
“Independent and adventurous, Jessica is an ideal representative for M.J. Hall in Alaska,” a company statement said of the promotion, adding that her ability to combine the intricacies of the business with the specific needs of the communities of Alaska is a “key factor” in M.J. Hall’s continued growth and success in the state.
In March, M.J. Hall became the first wholesaler to have access to an admitted carrier for cannabis in the state of Arizona. The brokerage entered into an exclusive partnership with an “A”-rated insurer to offer the Cannabis Businessowners Policy (CannaBOP) product.
