Hub International Limited announced this month it has acquired the assets of Johnson & Wood Insurance Services, Inc. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Based in Carlsbad, Calif., Johnson & Wood is a multi-line agency providing commercial and personal insurance services, as well as employee benefit products. Ed Johnson, president of Johnson & Wood, and Stuart Wood, vice president of Johnson & Wood, will join Hub California and report to Travis McElvany, executive vice president of Hub California.
“The addition of Johnson & Wood further complements our existing operations in Carlsbad while expanding upon our insurance brokerage capabilities in San Diego County,” said Marni Gordon, a spokesperson for Hub.
Ed Johnson and Stu Wood will continue to lead their team at Johnson & Wood and maintain their current management roles going forward, Gordon said.
“The team at Johnson & Wood now has access to Hub’s local and national brokerage capabilities which brings a range of products and services to the Johnson & Wood service team, all of which are designed to expand upon the Hub customer value proposition,” Gordon continued.
To date, Hub has publicly announced 35 acquisitions in 2015, but Gordon said the company cannot comment on future acquisitions or other deals currently underway, if any.
